Monster Truck Birthday Cake | Tire Cake

A friends little guy just turned 3,,,seriously where does the time go!! Carter loves trucks and diggers!!

There were only 3 requirements for this cake....it had to look like a tire, it had to have a flag with a 3 and it HAD TO HAVE CHOCOLATE ROCKS!!!!!!


AND LOOK!!! Finally a picture that isn't horrible!! I must of had good lighting haha

Mom added a Monster truck to the top of the cake and of course EXTRA chocolate rocks!! And here his the birthday boy blowing out his candles!!!

 

 

Ballerina 3rd Birthday Cake

My baby girl just turned 3...tears...She couldn't decide on what she wanted for her cake...she went from spiders to monkeys and finally decided on a ballerina theme...ok well I kind of influenced her alittle.
I really wanted to make another figurine lol

I wanted the main focus to be the ballerina as she took a bit of time to make so I made the rest of the cake simple.

I'm really happy how the ballerina figurine turned out. I'm still working on getting them to look 'real' but I'm making progress :) The cake was chocolate with chocolate ganache and cookies and cream filling...YUMMY!! The cake was covered a very ght pink fondant with pastel coloured flowers around the ballerina.

3rd Birthday Cake - Dora and Boots

This 8" square cake was made for a friend's little girl who turned three. Like many preschoolers her favorite character is Dora and Boots. With that in mind I made this cake.

The cake is a rainbow chip with a faux whipped cream vanilla filling, the torted filling layers where dyed pink, yellow and purple to make the cake a little more fun.

Dora is made from a fondant and gumpaste mix and is 100% edible. I tried to remember all of her accessories but Hailey told me I forgot to put the star pockey on backpack....my bad lol. Dora turned out a bit more neanderthal than I would have liked...lesson learned, don't touch the head until it is completely dry.
