Zebra and High Heel Birthday Cake

I made this cake for a friends 26th birthday. The bottom tier is a 6" vanilla cake filled with chocolate ganache. The top tier is rice krispies covered in buttercream and fondant.

This was my first time doing zebra stripes and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

It was also my first time making a high heel which was a lot of fun. I could sit and make these for hours with different designs, the options are endless. The flowers are all made free hand and the 'necklace' is gumpaste.

Dora the Explorer 2nd Birthday Cake

This cake was made for a friends daughters second birthday. Her favorite cartoon character is Dora the Explorer and Boots. The cake is a 10" chocolate cake with faux whipped cream filling - it has the texture and taste of whip cream but it isn't.

The cake was covered in fondant with fondant decorations.
This is my second attempt at making a Dora figurine. I learned a lot from the last Dora I made so this one turned out a bit better...not so neaderthalish lol.

The present on top was made from rice kripsy treats, dipped in chocolate and covered in fondant.

27th Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my sisters 27th birthday. She adores reece's pieces buttercups so I mimic the flavors for her cake. The cake was an 8" chocolate cake with peanutbutter buttercream. The middle torte of the cake had chucks of cut up reece's pieces.

The rose on top is made from modeling chocolate and the 27, the writing and the flakes are chocolate as well.

Fall Wedding Cake

This is a wedding cake I made for a friend who tied the knot this Fall.
The cake was a 10", 8" and 6" square cake, two tiers were chocolate with vailla fudge filling and one tier was vanilla with chcolate fudge filling.

The cake was covered in chocolate fondant with gold swirls and dragees. The swirls were hand painted with edible gold paint.
