Muskoka Themed Birthday Cake
This cake was sooo much work but I had so much fun designing and creating all the characters.
The cake was made for two kids who were born in canada but raised in the states. I was asked to capture the 'Muskoka feel' to help remind the kids of their canadian roots.
All the characters are made from fondant and were all hand sculted...which took hours! I still need to work on my people but I'm happy with how they turned out...after remaking the heads 4 times!
The cake is a 10" vanilla and filled with vanilla buttercream.

Hunting 25th Birthday Cake
This two tiered cake was made for a friend's 25th birthday who loves to hunt. The 8" and 6" cakes are chocolate filled with cookies and cream buttercream.
The deer head was made from rice krispies and coated with milk chocolate to help keep it together. It was then covered in fondant. The antlers have wires in them to help with support and are covered in fondant. I was really hoping the deer would look real but it looks cartoonish. If I had my airbrusher up and running I could have layered colors to make it look real....maybe one day I'll have it working.
All the leaves are fondant and the acorns are shaped caramels with fondant tops. I was really happy with how the cake turned out.
